Townhouse Update - July 2014
The renters in the town house have renewed their lease for September 2014 - August 2015. That is terrific news for Carly and I. We are looking forward to the renters helping us out (and us helping them out with having a place to live) to ride the value of the house back up.Had the renters not renewed, we would have been looking at doing clean up and a few odds and end projects in the house to be able to get the house ready to sell. We would have been awfully close to even.
Comparable Sales
There are some positive comparable sales in the neighborhood. This year there are four houses that are for sale or that have sold in 2014 alone! The two houses in my townhouse association that have sold have gone for more than their asking price! One for $117k and the next for $120k. There is another house that is sold but has not closed yet. That one had an asking price of $127,900 and was on the market for only a week. I am hopeful that the trend will continue.Thanks for taking a look!
